Every license is a written record of permitted use for one track, issued after payment and a human rights review. Licenses never upgrade silently.
Personal use included
Songs from the studio and personal commissions can be used privately and shared with friends and family.
Event playback
Event Premiere commissions include playback at your event — not advertising or broadcast.

Upgrade a track you own
Choose one of your tracks and a Creator, Small Business or Advertising license. After payment a person reviews the intended use; the license is issued only once approved.

Frequently asked questions
Do I own the copyright in my song?
A license describes what you are permitted to do with a track. It is not a promise of statutory copyright ownership, which depends on the law where you are and on how the song was made.
How do I get a license?
Send a licensing request with the track and the intended use. A person reviews the use; the license is issued only after payment and an approved rights review.
Can my existing license be upgraded?
Yes, but never automatically. An upgrade is a new paid request with its own rights review; your current license stays as issued until then.
What about TV, film, games or exclusivity?
Those uses are quoted individually and are never sold through automatic checkout.
